.380 Ammo
Okay, let me preface this by saying I do NOT want to pay $1.00 per round. Does anyone know of anywhere I might be able to purchase 380 ammo at a reasonable price? My wife has a sweet little Beretta Cheetah and she's getting seriously low on ammo for it. Seems most retail outlets are sold out. Apparently manufacturers are focusing production on 9mm instead of the 380.

Re: .380 Ammo
try HERE:
http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalo...-auto-fmj-ammo . . Alternately, look in the yellow pages, under "sporting goods" Likely a gun store within 10 or 15 miles where you can buy small arms ammunition. |
Re: .380 Ammo
Never heard of Lawman ammo. But may have to "pull the trigger" (sorry for the bad pun) and buy it. And BTW, Ive checked every place I can think of around my area and NOBODY has anything. Thanks for the link.

Re: .380 Ammo
I had ordered some MFS 380 ACP from ammunition to go for $19.99. I think it was made in Hungary and seems to be pretty good brass cased ammo. It doesn't seem to be in stock right now at ammunition to go - but you might want to search to see if anyone else has it.
I think the Lawman ammo should be fine. I have shot it in different calibers (not 380) and it seemed pretty good. |

Re: .380 Ammo
I got some PMC bronze FMJ at the local gun show 3 weeks ago for $20 a box. I probably should have got more than 2 boxes. Another dealer was asking $35 for steel cased Wolf .380.

Re: .380 Ammo
The current situation with .380 ammo should be a heads up to anyone who has planned on acquiring numerous handguns in a single caliber.
For whatever reason some calibers may become unavailable. I seriously doubt anyone suspected .380 would be the 1st caliber to become extremely hard to get. Buy early, buy often and stack it deep. |

QUOTE] Well when you consider that a 380 is a 9mm short and uses all the same components as a 9mm Lugar the demand on that case and bullet is basically doubled IMO |

I just got my first box of this yesterday. Havent tried it out yet, It seems good for practice, but I would not want it for actual defense as my first choice. |
